UN Human Rights CouncilBelow are set out the United Nations and Council of Europe human rights treaties (also known as conventions or covenants) to which Ireland is a party. This means that Ireland has signed and ratified a particular treaty, which thus places a legal obligation on it to ensure the rights set out in the relevant treaty are protected.
