Legislative Observations
The IHRC analyses draft legislation to ensure it complies with human rights standards. We make recommendations where legislation has implications for promoting and protecting human rights in Ireland. These recommendations are made to inform Government Departments, members of the Oireachtas, relevant statutory bodies, civil society and the public of any amendments needed to comply with human rights.
